Buttermilk Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1/2-3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2-3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
  • Mix sugar, butter, and buttermilk in medium saucepan. 
  • Cook to boiling and butter is melted. 
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add baking soda and vanilla. (Mixture will foam up a little.)
Serve warm over waffles, pancakes, french toast, german pancakes, etc. Delicious!
