Shellie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 (3 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 pkg. milk chocolate chips (you can use semi-sweet if you like, but I like milk choc.)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl, set aside. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto cookie sheets. Bake 10-13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute.
